Savor the Sweetness at Vanillamore

This dessert kitchen in the south part of town has quietly been luring brunch goers
and dessert die-hards since it opened last fall. The vision of Chef Risa Magid Boyer,
whose passion for vanilla’s versatility inspired her to devote her restaurant to it,
Vanillamore has both sweet and savory dishes.
A warm and welcoming space, Vanillamore blends art with technology. There are
six walls serve as a gallery showing the work of different artists; visitors are treated
to this visual beauty as well as the gorgeous works of edible art on their plates.
Brunch choices include a daily quiche served with the most sublime arugula salad
dressed in a lemon vinaigrette, classic oatmeal with a vanilla twist, a divine French
toast bake served with poached pears, along with a scrumptious selection of sweet
and savory toasts such as silken ricotta topped with apricot jam and toasted
hazelnuts. There are separate lunch and dinner menus as well; the small plates are
meant to encourage guests to try several choices (and try to share!)
Then there are the desserts, which are like composed plates of sweet love.
“Charcuterie Boards” include choices such as espresso caramel and coffee hazelnut
mousse, “Tapas” offers a wonderfully fun and seasonal “kebabs” like a lemon- and
thyme-glazed doughnut with candied lemon zest and blackberry, and “Dessert
Flights” that highlight caramel, berry and chocolate; there’s even a gluten-free
