Sunshine Sam Reopens At Cornerstone Montclair
Montclair’s battery-free destination for playthings, Sunshine Sam, launches its first Pop-Up event—“Spread the Love”— this weekend at its brand-new home at Cornerstone Montclair, 198 Bellevue Ave.
Cornerstone Montclair, founded by Wendy Lacey, is a new organization that partners with local businesses, educators and service providers to foster a community in which people of all abilities “have opportunities for work, healthy movement and social engagement.” Sunshine Sam is the toy purveyor and a mission partner for Cornerstone.
Starting tomorrow, Fri., Feb. 9 through Sun., Feb. 11, Sunshine Sam will be selling toys, penny candy, chocolate roses, organic cotton candy, and artisanal cards and gifts. If one of your sweeties is a fan of Harry Potter, check out the “I Put a Spell on You” wand shop.
Parents looking to get their kids’ class Valentine’s done in one fell swoop? Reserve a spot at one of the Make-and-Take Valentines workshops (http://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090449acad23abfd0-make) on Sat., Feb. 10, 11am – 5pm and Sun., Feb. 11, 11am – 4pm.
There’s a “Spread the Love” Wall & Confetti Sensory Experience on Sat., Feb. 10, 2pm – 4pm. Pose with friends and family for an Instagram-worthy photo op or take a selfie in front of the “Spread The Love” wall, created by super talented Azie of Verdigreen Home.
